Spotlight: Out of the Labyrinth
On May 26, NALED in cooperation with radio and television B92, USAID's Competitiveness Project and USAID's Municipal Economic Growth Activity organized a high profile press conference to announce its latest initiative - Out of the Labyrinth. During this initiative, all business people, entrepreneurs and citizens are called upon to submit their experiences with red tape barriers directly to NALED. The most interesting submissions will be analyzed jointly with competent Government authorities and will be rewarded. The goal of the Out of the Labyrinth initiative is to eliminate redundant administrative procedures that impede the growth of business entrepreneurship. Simplification or abolition of certain time-consuming and costly procedures will contribute to greater effectiveness and increased transparency in the business sector's operations. The Out of the Labyrinth campaign is supported by B92, while USAID's Municipal Economic Growth Activity will provide its expert assistance in processing the submissions, and support the initiative's public visibility, placing advertisements in the daily Blic and the Ekonomist Magazine.
